BEAUTY POST| FALL 2018 MAKEUP FAVORITES AND ESSENTIALS

Hey Beavs!!

I've come up with a pretty decent list of some of my favorite fall products both old and new. In the fall I go back and forth between matte beat to glowy, juicy skin. Really depends on how my skin is feeling that morning. I have a combination of face, eye and lip products that keep me slaying these breezy streets all fall. Let's get into this!

Face: Foundations, Concealer, and Highlight

Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation in Almond
This is for my moms that need to get their face together in 10 minutes tops. Stick foundations are also small enough to fit in your purse or backpack. I love this foundation because it gives me an even, medium matte coverage in seconds. You can build it up or build it down, depending on your preference. They have a good range of shades for you choose from. You can also use this as a concealer or contour stick. Pretty versatile if ya ask me!

Burt's Bees Goodness Glows Liquid Foundation in 1060 Chestnut
Now this foundation is for my ladies who like to have naturally glowing skin, but don't LOL. It surprised me to be honest, super smooth on the skin and leaves me looking 5 months pregnant. It does have a scent that I'm not fond of, but its made from all natural products. So I'm def not complaining lol. For my oily girls, try using a mattifying primer on your problem areas, set your face, and setting spray to look on your face but still have that glow. FYI, it does get even more glowy throughout the day.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Soft Matte Foundation in 390
You already know I stay raving about this foundation. It looks like skin and stays on all day. It last forever and keeps you flawless, even through sweat. It also has a very soft scent, I personally think it should be bottled like perfume. I do go back and forth between matte primers and illuminating ones, but it depends on how my skin is looking. RiRi also has provided a vast range of shaders for you to find your perfect shade.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Fawn
I'm pretty sure every makeup rookie and newbie knows of this amazing product! Had the makeup industry buzzing for a hot minute and it is still such a classic. I have tried a few shades of this concealer, literally they have like over 30 shades, and Fawn is def one of my favorites. It's the perfect shade to do subtle highlighting and carves my eyebrows like no other. Doubt I will ever not repurchase this concealer.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife
When we all first met Trophy Wife we were excited but intimidated. She is strong, fierce, and bright. Like deadass shining bright like a diamond. Alot of us weren't ready for her but embraced her none the less. I'm glad I bit the bullet and purchased her. She is perfect for Holiday looks and super strong highlighting. I like using this highlight as subtle as possible or adding a bit more than usual when I'm feeling brave and glam. She does have a lot of fall out, I mean, it's a glitter highlight what did you expect?

Eyes: Eyeshadow Palettes and Eyeliner

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette
Now when this palette launched it created a big buzz in the beauty community. Youtuber Alissa Ashley among others made a very critical review of the palette claiming the shadows were hard to blend and patchy. It caused an uproar amongst makeup lovers and even got a negative and pretty unprofessional response from Anastasia Beverly Hills themselves. Well, I saw Subculture on sale last year and I grabbed it. I loved the shades and decided to try it myself. I will admit though, these shadows are pretty hard to work with and take a lot of finesse and patience. They are beautiful thoug, so if you can be patient I would def day it’s a must have in your collection.

Essence Cosmetics Spice Up Your Life Palette
If you are tight on cash or on a budget the Spice Up Your Life palette from Essence is perfect. It has a good amount of mattes and shimmers to create a multitude of looks for both day and night, glam and neutral. I have been playing quite a bit with the colours and trying to do more creative looks. There is kick back with the mattes but the shimmers are super creamy and the go on perfect both dry or wet.

Wet N Wild Nude Awakening Palette
For my ladies who are on the go Wet N Wild palettes are your best friend, and the Nude Awakening is a great choice. Not everyone likes to go super bold with their eye looks in the fall but still enjoy looking festive and on trend. This palette is perfect for them gals! Create simple, warm smokey eyes and pair it with some vampy lips and you can be out the door in seconds!

Deck of Scarlet Liquid Liner in KoKo Kaveri
I used to be so bomb at winged liner but I randomly stopped doing it and now I feel like a virgin. But I’m a big girl so I suck it up and make sure to purchase liners so I can practice. I have never used a liner pen before, so when Deck Of Scarlet included one in one of their collaborations I was excited. My favorite shade is KoKo Kamari, a nice chocolate brown. Brown liner is perfect for the fall, in my opinion. For those of us that don’t want the harshness of a black liner but still want to get the look all the way together. The pen is extremely easy to use and does not smudge. It dries down almost instantly and last all day.

Lips: Liquid Lipstick

Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Satin Lippie in Cashing Out
Liquid lipsticks are great all year but even better in the colder months. I mean I know I hate having to take my hands out of my pocket to put on cold lipgloss during the day lol. Invest in a few liquid lipstick so you won’t have to reapply as often and you can keep your hands warm and toasty. Colourpop has a ridiculously large collection of liquid lipstick shades in different finishes. They are super affordable so you really can’t go wrong picking up a few or 10 from them. Their satin formula dries down smooth on the lips but it is not matte. Meaning, it can smear and get everywhere. If you are looking for a problem and mess free lipstick then try their Ultra Matte liquid lipstick. My current favorite shade from them is Cashing Out. It’s the perfect dark vampy lip that’s not too dark but still gives your lips that sensual look.

Alright guys, dang this was a long one huh? If you stuck around until the end then please understand I am more than grateful. What are some of YOUR favorite FALL makeup essentials this year? Leave a comment below for me!
