Hey Beavs! As you know, I am a mother and my daughter has reached the stage of potty training. Oh how I dreaded this day lol. Toddlers don't like to do much sitting so with the help of Huggies Pullups I will be sharing with you some tips and tricks on how I am slowly but surely potty training my daughter.

Tip #1: Books and Toys
Like most toddlers, sitting down is a very hard task. When there is so much for them to discover and play with staying still just makes no sense. I like to keep toys or her LeapPad near her potty so she is entertained but will stay seated. This way eventually something will come out.

Tip #2: Juice is your Best Friend
That's right, use juice or water to your advantage. Give your child a drink and wait about 30 minutes before placing them on the potty. It may take a few tries and a few drinks before they get the hang of it.

Tip #3: You Potty, I PeePee
When you need to go, try bringing your toddler with you. My daughter's potty moves between the bathroom and her bedroom. Sometimes when it is time for me to go, I bring her in as well. We sit and chat and she watches what I do. Doing this shows your child what they are supposed to do when it comes to the potty.

Now that I have shared some of the tricks I have been using to get my daughter potty trained let's talk about the training diapers. To be honest, when I was a preteen I hated Huggies Pullups. For some reason my sister's would always burst and you would find this wet jelly all throughout the house. That was the main reason I swore I would never use Pullups when I had a child of my own.

Then that dreaded day came when Huggies was cheaper than the Pampers and I could not resist the sale. So I grabbed them and decided to give them a try. I am so glad that I did! The Pullups have improved so much since I last dealt with them. They have tear away sides that allow you you to remove the diaper very easy without a mess. They also fit extremely snug and just like a panty. I haven't experienced any jelly on my daughter or around the house so that is a plus too. It also has a cooling system that tell your toddler their diaper is full. I often catch my daughter tugging or pulling at her trainers and that is how I know it is full.

Extremely glad that I was chosen for this voxbox and I was even more surprised when I realized it was a box of trainers and not just a few to test out. Shout out to Influenster for looking out for the mommies and saving us a few bucks for the next 2 to 3 weeks lol.

Hey Beavs! More and more black owned businesses are starting to pop up throughout the world and it is so exciting. I have come across yes another black owned makeup brand that has great products and is affordable. Want to all about it? Well, keep on reading ;).

The black owned Canadian brand I have come across is Ajani Cosmetics. They provide matte liquid lipsticks that are women of color friendly. Not only do they carry amazing colors but they only cost $5. Yes, you read that right you aren't loosing it.

I first came across this company on Instagram but lost their page before I could follow. I then saw Boe Vintage of Idontgetpaidenoughforthis on Youtube use one of their lipstick in her video and decided to search them up. I purchased 3 liquid lipstick and paid for shipping, since I live about 4 hrs away from where it ships from lol.

The shades I purchased were Sealed With A Kiss (a cool tone red), Amaris (a dark brown), and Noelle (a soft everyday nude). Now I will say that the shades do appear differentially on the website and in person. My suggestion would be to go to Ajani's Instagram page or search Youtube to see what the shades look like in real, natural lighting. Sealed With A Kiss looks exactly how I pictures it would. It looks to be a perfect everyday red for the sassy lady. Just pair with your favorite soft brown lip liner. Amaris I thought to be a deep purple perfect for fall but it is actually a dark brown. Now I am a little sad it isn't a purple but this brown shade is gorgeous none the less. Noelle did have me disappointed. In the tube, it looks to be a cool tone pinkish mauve nude. But as you can see in the swatches, it is a yellow-brown nude.

A lot of the shades on the website were sold out so I chose the shades I knew I would wear. I will definitely be purchasing some more once they are back in stock. The formula is light, I can barely feel it on the lips. It dries very fast so be very careful when working with deeper shades. It last extremely long however you will have to reapply after eating or drinking. They also seem to be build able. I put on about 2 coats and it was opaque.

I will be looking for lots more black owned and/or Canadian makeup brands to bring to you guys especially with the Holiday season coming. Hope you enjoyed our chat today and I will see you later!

Hey Beavs! This post is well overdue but it is better late than never. I would also like to address that I will be taking a break from selling and promoting Mary Kay cosmetics to focus and work on my fashion interests. I feel as though makeup has taken complete control of my time that I have neglected my clothing line and things of such matter. So this will be one of my last post featuring Mary Kay products until further notice. Now let's get on with this makeup post.

Fall is quickly coming to an end but I did want to show you guys some of the products that launched for this season. I picked up the Runway Bold Eye Color Palette and Gel Liner Duo in Dramatic Gold. I was surprised to see the choice of colors. Some are typical autumn colors where others are bold and different.

The eye color palette shades are Gold, Bronze, Silver, Blue, and Navy Blue while the liner duo has gold and bronze shade. The shadows as always are pigmented as ever. The bronze shade has pigment but it also has sparkles which makes it an interesting shadow. The navy blue shade is probably my favorite because of how different it is. It has tiny little light blue speckles in it and because of how deep the shade is, sometimes it looks blue and other times it looks black.

As for the gel liner, super creamy! This makes them easy to work with but also gives you time to perfect your bold wing. They don't dry fast but once it is dry it stays put. I would suggest applying a black or even white liner first to allow these colors to pop and really stand out.

I hope this post was helpful and don't forget you have until November 16, 2016 to purchase yours (whiles supplies last). If not, you can find similar shades in the regular line of MK shadows or Mk At Play shadow trios that resembles these shades. Talk you all later and see you in the next post!
